Davler Media Group Acquires New York Spaces

Davler-webDavid L. Miller, CEO of Davler Media Group LLC, announced today the acquisition of New York Spaces - The Home Design Magazine of Metropolitan New York,, and their Social Events, from Wainscot Media LLC.

New York Spaces is distributed nine times a year and is a celebration of the best of New York area design. The media inspires readers through lavish coverage of the best homes, gardens and interiors in the metro area—and give those readers the resources to turn inspiration into reality.

“We are excited about this new acquisition, which will allow us to further diversify our offerings, as we will now be able to tap into the design industry niche market for New York Metro consumers and clients.” says David L. Miller, CEO of Davler Media Group. “This will be our fourth acquisition within the past two years. We remain consistent with our goal, which is to help time-pressed consumers make the right choices when spending discretionary money and time.”

Jason Kontos, a favorite among designers, suppliers and home owners alike, will remain Editor-in-Chief. In addition, seven other employees will also join Davler Media and continue to focus on New York Spaces.

Wainscot Media LLC is a family business based in Montvale, NJ. It is headed by Carroll V. Dowden, chairman, and his son Mark Dowden, president. The company publishes 18 regional consumer magazines, about a third of which are in New York and New Jersey. They focus mainly on health, lifestyle and fashion. The company also produces events and web sites and creates and manages social media programs for clients. Wainscot is a spin-off from Dowden Health Media, which was created by the Dowdens in 1988 and sold to Lebhar-Friedman, a New York trade magazine publisher, in 2005.
